We are looking for a Research Assistant to join our Immunotherapy team.

Title: Research Assistant

Salary: £34,800 - £35,906 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 per week (standard Anthony Nolan working hours)

Location: Full-time onsite, Anthony Nolan Research Institute, Hampstead, London

We are seeking a highly motivated, productive and organised research assistant to support existing research projects in the Immunotherapy group. Evidence of competencies in mammalian cell culture and either molecular or cell biology techniques is essential. Experience with statistical analysis software, flow cytometry or CRISPR gene editing would be advantageous. Above all we value scientific integrity, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to integrate effectively in a highly driven team of scientists.

Key Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

· Assist with immunotherapy group research across all projects

· Provide technical and analytic support to advance on-going programmes in the immunotherapy group

· Assist with the maintenance of specialised equipment and the smooth running of the laboratory

· Plan and organise your work with relatively little input

· Give regular updates on progress both in oral and written form

Essential Attributes

· Must hold a BSc in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Immunology, Biotechnology, or a related field with at least a 2:2, or equivalent.

· Must have at least 6 to 12 months of practical laboratory experience, with evidence of competency in mammalian cell culture and at least one relevant molecular biology techniques. (Examples of relevant techniques include but are not limited to, magnetic cell separation, primary cell culture, western blot, flow cytometry, PCR/qPCR)

· Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously within the team

· Evidence of both autonomous and collaborative working

· Evidence of keeping accurate experimental records
