Assistant Nurse Manager ED

• Facility: Ascension St. Vincent
• Department/Specialty: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Evenings  l  Full-time

• Lead daily nursing operations to ensure high-quality patient care and seamless access across the department.
• Empower and direct clinical staff by assigning duties tailored to individual skills, maximizing team strengths and supporting professional growth.
• Hire, mentor and evaluate team members to cultivate a high-performing, compassionate workforce dedicated to patient satisfaction.
• Drive clinical quality initiatives and process audits to continuously improve patient outcomes and uphold high care standards.
• Collaborate with leadership to update departmental workflows and maintain compliance with evolving health care practices.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
• At least 5 years of Emergency nursing experience strongly preferred
• Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
• BSN preferred, or plan in place to receive
• National Certification preferred
