Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer - London - £550pd - Inside - Central Govt - SC Cleared - 5 months

A major Central Government organisation is seeking an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to support and maintain a modern Microsoft technology estate. This role will focus on cloud infrastructure, end-user computing, identity management and core infrastructure services across a hybrid environment.

Working within an established Digital Services function, you'll provide technical expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows Server and networking technologies, ensuring services remain secure, available and performant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and administer Microsoft Azure cloud services
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity platforms
  • Administer Entra ID, identity management and access controls
  • Support Intune device management and endpoint security solutions
  • Maintain Windows Server infrastructure and core platform services
  • Provide 3rd line support and technical troubleshooting
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology improvements
  • Monitor service performance, security and availability
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal technical teams
  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing and continual improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong Microsoft Azure administration and support experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Knowledge of Entra ID and modern identity management
  • Hands-on Intune administration experience
  • Strong Windows Server infrastructure background
  • Networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Active SC Clearance is essential

  • Central Government experience
  • Microsoft Azure certifications
  • Microsoft 365 certifications
  • Experience supporting secure government environments
  • Endpoint security and compliance management experience
  • PowerShell Scripting experience
  • Experience working within SC-cleared environments
  • Experience working within regulated organisations
