As a Pre-sales Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be a key technical resource for our sales teams, helping to bridge the gap between complex cybersecurity solutions and customer needs. You will work closely with sales teams, product teams, and customers throughout the entire sales cycle— from initial engagement through proof of concept (PoC), to post-sales success. Your expertise will guide the sales process by providing in-depth technical knowledge, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring the solutions we propose meet their unique security needs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Customer Presentations & Demonstrations: Create and deliver technical presentations and product demos to customers, highlighting how our solutions address their cybersecurity challenges.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Lead and execute PoC activities, guiding customers through setup, configuration, and testing to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
- Sales Support: Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during the sales cycle. Collaborate with sales teams to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and manage strong technical relationships with customers, ensuring smooth handoffs to the Customer Success Team post-sale and continued technical support throughout the customer journey.
- Technical Advice: Advise sales, development, and leadership teams on technical aspects, answering questions and providing expert input to support the sales process.
- Product Feedback: Provide timely and actionable feedback from customers to the Product Development team, helping to shape future product roadmaps and improvements.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at trade shows, channel events, and industry conferences, promoting our product portfolio and fostering relationships within the cybersecurity community.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 2-5 years in a pre-sales cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools, attack frameworks, the cyber kill chain, and terminology (e.g., red team, penetration testing, etc.).
- Experience working alongside sales teams through all phases of the sales cycle.
- Comfortable with sales tools such as Salesforce, Zoom, and other collaboration platforms.
- Strong technical understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux technologies.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Hands-on Cybersecurity Experience: Experience working with Security Operations Center (SOC), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), vulnerability management, and other cybersecurity tools.
- Specialized Cybersecurity Skills: Knowledge in red-team, blue-team, or purple-team testing, breach and attack simulation, incident response, malware analysis, or other operational cybersecurity domains.
- Networking & Infrastructure: Familiarity with firewalls, web application firewalls, email systems (e.g., Office 365, Gmail), and other networking/infrastructure tools.
- Cloud & Virtualization: Experience with public cloud architectures such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud, and knowledge of private/hybrid cloud solutions like VMware, OpenStack, and Nutanix.
- Containerization & DevSecOps: Familiarity with container-based services and application delivery (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
