Senior Project Manager - Energy Trading / ETRM Platform

Job Summary

ComTec is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform implementation and upgrade initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong traditional Stage-Gate/Waterfall project management expertise and demonstrate excellence in managing project scope, schedules, risks, communications, and stakeholder expectations. This role will be responsible for driving project execution from initiation through deployment while ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance requirements, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery for trading platform implementation or upgrade initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project charters, SOWs, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Establish and manage project governance structures and stage-gate deliverables.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Manage stakeholder communications across business, IT, and executive leadership teams.
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
• Track project progress, dependencies, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Facilitate steering committee meetings and executive status reviews.
• Ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience leading large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong experience managing projects using Stage-Gate/Waterfall methodologies.
• Extensive expertise in:
• Project planning and execution
• Statement of Work (SOW) development
• Project scheduling and timeline management
• Risk and issue management
• Executive and stakeholder communications
• Status reporting and governance
• Budget and resource management
• Proven experience managing:
• Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform implementations
• Trading platform deployments, upgrades, or transformations
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, vendors, trading teams, and executive leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience in energy trading operations, risk management, or commodities trading environments.
• Familiarity with gas trading business processes.
• Experience in regulated utility environments
