THE ROLE
Looking to take your heavy vehicle expertise beyond the workshop?
As a Field Operations Consultant, you'll work directly with some of Australia's most diverse commercial fleets, travelling across NSW to inspect vehicles, support customers, audit maintenance programs, and provide practical technical advice.
This is a highly autonomous role suited to a qualified heavy vehicle professional who enjoys getting out on the road, solving problems, building relationships, and improving fleet performance.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include (but not limited to):
- Develop and maintain Maintenance Programs for our large heavy commercial vehicle fleets
- Carry out fleet and workshop auditing in alignment with these Maintenance programs
- Carry out build management and new vehicle inspections on all new HCV assets
- Act as escalation point for the business to address any HCV related issues (high cost repairs, major failures, warranty disputes etc)
- Act as subject matter expert for customer strategic reviews or similar
- Raise and amend quotes as required.
ABOUT YOU
You have strong, hands-on experience within the heavy commercial vehicle industry, a non-negotiable requirement for this position. You combine technical expertise with a practical approach, build credible relationships with stakeholders, and thrive in an autonomous, field-based environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle maintenance, repair methodologies, and fleet operations
- Extensive experience within the heavy commercial vehicle, fleet management, transport, or maintenance industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to obtain, at a minimum, an HR licence
- The ability to travel intrastate regularly (approximately one week per month) and interstate occasionally 2-3 times per year
BENEFITS:
We offer more than just a role:
- 27 days of annual leave per year.
- Enjoy the best of both worlds with hybrid working (3 days in the office) and a modern workspace and iconic Harbour Bridge views.
- A ‘Dress for your Day’ policy
- 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary careers, regardless of gender and with no minimum tenure and 4 weeks paid leave for secondary carers
- Ongoing training to help you develop and grow with real career development opportunities
- Rewards program, including a range of discounts from a variety of retailers.
- An extensive range of other employee benefits.
