Job Description

People Advisor – Creative Arts

Central London | 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH

£40K + great benefits | 18-month FTC

Love the people side of HR? Enjoy ER? Good at helping managers navigate the tricky stuff?

We’re looking for a confident People Advisor to join a well-known organisation in the arts sector.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys being close to the action. You’ll be the person managers come to when they have a difficult situation to deal with – whether that’s a performance issue, grievance, investigation, absence or something more complex.

You’ll coach managers, challenge when needed and give them the confidence to handle people issues themselves.

As part of a solid HR team with COE, there’s plenty of variety too – including restructures, consultations, redundancies, family leave and day-to-day employment law advice.

You’ll be great for this role if you:

  • Have strong UK based HR Advisory experience and solid ER experience
  • Are confident handling disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence cases
  • Know how to support and coach managers through difficult conversations
  • Have hands-on experience of restructures, consultation and redundancy processes
  • Have a good understanding of UK employment law
  • Are pragmatic, approachable and comfortable giving clear advice
  • Enjoy building relationships and influencing at all levels
  • Have CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Have worked in a unionised environment (a bonus, not essential)

This opportunity presents variety, progression and will be working with people who genuinely value good HR.

If you’re an HR Advisor who likes solving problems, working with managers and getting stuck into the people stuff, we’d love to hear from you.

We are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and welcome applications from all backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
