Job Description

Valgorithm is hiring a reliable, organized Medical Office Receptionist for an on-site role with a ACHC-accredited, Medicare-enrolled, and Medicaid-enrolled durable medical equipment supply company in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

The company provides medical supplies delivered directly to patients’ homes. You will be the in-person presence at the office: covering the front desk, keeping clinic and referral provider records up to date, preparing materials for provider visits, managing office inventory, and supporting the operations team.

Position Details

  • Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Pay: $15–$20/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

Front Desk & Office Coverage

  • Be present in the office during all business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
  • Answer phone calls and greet visitors professionally.
  • Provide general office and administrative support as needed.

CRM & Referral Records

  • Keep the CRM up to date with clinics and referral providers.
  • Maintain accurate, current clinic and contact information.

Provider Visit Support

  • Research clinics in areas where field representatives are scheduled to visit.
  • Add new clinics and contacts to the CRM.
  • Prepare visit materials and folders for upcoming provider visits.
  • Log all updates in the CRM.
  • Send weekly follow-up messages to providers.

Inventory

  • Organize and monitor the office’s sample inventory.

Administrative & Operations Support

  • Support leadership with administrative needs, including ordering marketing materials.
  • Help the operations team with general tasks as needed.

30-60-90 Day Plan

First 30 Days – Foundations

  • Learn the office routine and on-site coverage schedule.
  • Learn the CRM and the clinic and referral provider database.
  • Learn the provider visit preparation process.
  • Learn the sample inventory system and current stock levels.
  • Shadow administrative tasks to understand the team’s recurring needs.

Days 31–60 – Ownership

  • Cover the office Monday through Thursday independently.
  • Manage CRM updates and clinic and referral records on your own.
  • Complete full preparation for scheduled provider visits.
  • Take ownership of sample inventory organization and monitoring.
  • Begin supporting the operations team with general tasks.

Days 61–90 – Full Execution

  • Fully own office coverage, CRM records, visit preparation, and inventory.
  • Proactively flag gaps in provider records or inventory.
  • Handle administrative and operations tasks with increasing independence.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative role, ideally in a medical or healthcare office.
  • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Professional phone manner and clear verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative without close supervision.
  • Proficient with computers and able to learn new software quickly; CRM experience is a plus.
  • Able to handle confidential patient information with discretion (HIPAA awareness).
  • Punctual and reliable, able to be in the Fort Lauderdale office Monday through Thursday.
  • Reliable transportation to the office.
  • Competitive hourly pay ($15–$20/hour, based on experience).
  • Consistent 4-day schedule (Monday–Thursday) with set daytime hours.
