Back End Software Engineering Manager // Waltham MA only

A fast-growing, technology-focused provider in the small business insurance space is looking to add a Software Engineering Manager to its engineering team. You will be doing hands on engineering work while also guiding a small team of software engineers. The role is a mix of back end software engineering, implementing AI tooling, platform strategy, cloud infrastructure, and developer experience work, and will heavily revolve around improving the internal environment for the organizations development teams. Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineers
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
