Business Analyst

Talent Groups
Location: Austin, TX 78778 | Hybrid, primarily remote with occasional onsite work
Employment Type: 6+ Month W2 Contract
No C2C or Sponsorship

Position Overview

Talent Groups is seeking a Business Analyst to support a complex systems implementation in a public sector environment. The role will focus on requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design, stakeholder collaboration, and software testing across multiple program areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, technical, accessibility, and security requirements
  • Develop and groom user stories, BRDs, SRS documents, process maps, use cases, and conceptual models
  • Conduct system analysis, fit gap analysis, and solution design
  • Support requirements for interfaces involving complex legacy systems
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios and document results
  • Maintain requirements, testing, and traceability documentation
  • Facilitate requirements sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams across multiple program areas
  • Support project planning, SDLC activities, and Project Management Life Cycle artifacts
  • Assist with requirements clarification, issue resolution, and implementation activities

Required Skills & Experience

Candidates must meet or exceed all requirements below:

  • 8+ years of experience in business and functional requirements analysis
  • 8+ years developing process maps and conducting fit gap analyses
  • 8+ years solving complex problems and troubleshooting software systems
  • 8+ years gathering requirements across multiple program areas
  • 8+ years developing design requirements, BRDs, and SRS documents
  • 8+ years facilitating workshops and remote cross functional sessions
  • 8+ years developing and executing test plans and documenting testing results
  • 8+ years implementing and testing interfaces with complex legacy systems
  • 8+ years supporting Project Management Life Cycle activities
  • 8+ years using SDLC tools, such as HP ALM or Atlassian
  • 8+ years of experience with WIOA and PIRL

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working with State of Texas organizations or projects
