Financial Data Analyst

IDR is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Texas. This role focuses on supporting financial audits by extracting, analyzing, and validating historical financial data from archived systems and legacy ERP databases. The organization operates within the education and public sector, specifically serving K-12 school districts, requiring expertise in financial systems, data extraction, and audit support.
Position Overview for the Financial Data Analyst:

• Support a time-sensitive financial audit by locating, retrieving, and analyzing historical financial transactions.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract financial data from legacy ERP systems and archived datasets.
• Review and validate financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with audit standards.
• Collaborate with audit stakeholders to fulfill data requests within strict deadlines.
• Assess, restore, and reconstruct legacy databases as needed to ensure data integrity.

Requirements for the Financial Data Analyst:

• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying, extracting, and troubleshooting financial datasets.
• Experience analyzing accounting records, validating transactions, and supporting financial audits.
• Proficiency navigating legacy ERP systems, retrieving archived financial data, and understanding database structures.
• Experience restoring archived financial datasets or reconstructing legacy database environments.
• Must have experience working with K-12 school district financial systems, accounting records, or financial reporting.
