Title: HR Generalist
Times Publishing Company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to serve as the primary day-to-day HR resource for the organization, supporting employees and managers across employee relations, employee lifecycle administration, recruitment, HR systems and records, compensation, payroll coordination and other HR operations.

The Generalist will also serve as the company’s primary HR representative and liaison with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO), currently ADP TotalSource, coordinating with PEO specialists and resources to ensure HR matters are addressed accurately, timely and effectively. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded HR professional who can work independently, build strong relationships throughout the organization, and demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail and consistent follow-through. General HR & Employee Relations
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, programs and workplace matters. Provide guidance and support to managers regarding employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, policy interpretation and other day-to-day HR issues. Assist with employee concerns, workplace investigations, performance management and employee separations, involving HR leadership and PEO resources as appropriate.

Coordinate recruitment for company openings, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, offers and candidate communication. Assist with development, review and communication of HR policies and employee programs and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers throughout the organization. PEO Partnership & HR Operations
Serve as the company's primary HR representative and day-to-day liaison with the PEO and coordinate HR matters and services administered through the PEO.

Serve as the internal point of contact between employees, managers and the PEO for benefits, leave and other PEO-administered HR matters, helping ensure questions and issues are directed appropriately and followed through to resolution. Maintain accurate employee information, personnel records and HR documentation within HRIS and PEO systems and review HR transactions for accuracy and completeness. Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports, monitor HR data for accuracy, and assist with compensation administration, job descriptions, salary reviews and workforce information.

Participate in benefit plan audits and other HR-related audits or reviews, coordinating information and documentation with the PEO, Payroll, Finance and other providers as appropriate. Employee Lifecycle, HRIS, Payroll & 401(k) Coordination
Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including pre-employment requirements, new-hire documentation, orientation and onboarding, as well as employee separations and offboarding, working with employees, managers, Payroll and other appropriate departments.

Ensure new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, compensation changes and other personnel transactions are accurately and timely reflected in HRIS and applicable provider systems. Partner closely with Payroll on employee changes, compensation, deductions and other HR/payroll matters, including compliance items, corrections and reconciliation of employee information between HR and payroll systems.

Coordinate the HR aspects of the company's 401(k) plan administration with the plan provider and Payroll, including eligibility, enrollment, employee and employer contribution information, plan data, required reporting and resolution of discrepancies.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
~3-5 years of Human Resources experience
~ Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
~ Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
~ Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
~ Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred.
