Job Description

Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II to build secure, scalable applications for the Financial Services industry within our dynamic IT organization. You will design and implement cloud-based services, integrations, and APIs, writing clean, testable code and collaborating closely with product, architecture, and QA in an Agile environment. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable financial software solutions in a cloud-first environment
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following Mastercard and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA to refine requirements and deliver high-quality features
  • Implement integrations with internal and external financial services platforms and APIs
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, resiliency, and security
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy standards in financial services
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and engineering practices
