Confluent Solution Architect

Introduction:

As a Confluent Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of enterprise-grade streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and the Confluent Platform. You will collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, define integration strategies, and guide implementation teams in building scalable, secure, and resilient data streaming ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect solutions using Apache Kafka, with hands-on experience in Confluent Kafka
• Lead client engagements, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and guide implementation teams
• Provide expert-level user training and ongoing support for maintenance planners, technicians, and management users
• Integrate Kafka with enterprise systems such as databases, APIs, and microservices
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Kubernetes
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible
• Utilize stream processing technologies like Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, and ksqlDB
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and RBAC in Confluent Cloud

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in designing and architecting solutions using Apache Kafka
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka
• Deep understanding of Kafka internals, KRaft architecture, and Confluent components
• Experience with Confluent Cloud, Stream Governance, Data Lineage, and RBAC
• Expertise in stream processing and event-driven architecture
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala
• Integration experience with enterprise systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Confluent Kafka certification

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with other Kafka platforms such as Cloudera Kafka, AWS MSK, etc.
• Understanding of Kafka architecture and operational management in enterprise environments
• Experience in professional services or implementation consulting for SaaS products
