Neuropsychologist Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited program
  • Current and unencumbered psychology license in Nebraska or eligibility to obtain within six months of hire

Neuropsychologist Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical expertise and consultation for individuals with acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions
  • Conduct and supervise neuropsychological evaluations for inpatient clients and perform occasional outpatient evaluations
  • Deliver supportive education and therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary psychology team
  • Adhere to legal, professional, and ethical standards regarding privacy and confidentiality
  • Collaborate effectively across teams, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Provide training and supervision to pre-doctoral interns through involvement with a professional psychology consortium
