ICT Support Engineer

As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide national ICT support to our employees while assisting in the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of Hindmarsh's IT systems and infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing national ICT support and troubleshooting assistance to end users across the business.
• Managing user accounts, permissions and security access across internal and external systems.
• Supporting the deployment, configuration and maintenance of laptops, workstations, mobile phones and tablets.
• Administering Hindmarsh's mobile device management systems and mobile services.
• Working closely with the Systems Development team and wider ICT team to deliver technology solutions.
• Maintaining accurate system documentation, procedures and support records.
• Supporting PC provisioning and maintenance of standard operating environments.
• Assisting with disaster recovery testing and business continuity activities.
• Monitoring software licences, subscriptions and technology assets.
• Supporting ICT projects and initiatives as directed by the IT Manager.
• Liaising with external vendors and service providers to ensure effective service delivery.
• Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies that may benefit the business.

About You

We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems and supporting others through technology.

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or relevant industry certifications and experience.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Experience supporting hardware such as laptops, desktops, mobile phones and tablets.
• Exposure to technologies such as Windows Server, Microsoft Teams, VPN, Hyper-V or Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and professional support to users of varying technical ability.
• A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering high quality service.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also taking ownership of tasks and outcomes.
