The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate tasks and container moves with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety procedures. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Prior experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
