Maritime Surveillance LFA/CLFA System Design and Operations Analyst | Laurel, MD, United States | Hybrid | $105,000 - $290,000 Annually We are seeking a dynamic and analytical individual for a leading national defense research organization focused on technological innovation for critical U.S. Naval capabilities. If you're passionate about advancing maritime surveillance systems and contributing to groundbreaking technologies, this is an exceptional opportunity. The Role • Assess the design and influence the capability development of Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Low Frequency Active (LFA) and Compact LFA (CLFA). • Conduct lab-based and at-sea assessments of functional and operational surveillance systems. • Develop new system display concepts and capabilities to enhance system performance within the surveillance domain. • Research and experiment with next-generation technologies for novel applications in maritime surveillance. • Apply systems engineering expertise to inform future MSS LFA/CLFA requirements and development. • Coordinate with analysts and liaise between the organization, acquisition sponsors, and fleet commands. What You'll Need • A U.S. Navy designator, billet, or enlisted classification code related to surveillance systems or active sonar. • 10+ years of experience with acoustic surveillance systems operations, training, and testing. • Experience with U.S. Navy developmental and operational test and evaluation processes. • Strong analytical skills and passion for innovative environments. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and multi-tasking abilities. • Ability to obtain an interim Secret level security clearance, with eventual TS/SCI clearance, and U.S. citizenship.
