Senior .NET Developer Mississauga, ON (Hybrid or Onsite role)

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer with strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET 5+, React, Azure, Microservices, Docker, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and delivering scalable, fault-tolerant applications in a production environment and be comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of software development, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.

The candidate should be confident, highly trainable, adaptable to new technologies, and an excellent communicator. Experience with Azure Container Apps (ACA) and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior full-stack engineer who can work across frontend and backend, understands cloud-native/microservices architecture, communicates effectively with technical and business teams, and can independently own production-grade applications from development through deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant services and features within a microservices platform.
• Take end-to-end ownership from requirements and design through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture and technology decisions.
• Identify and address technical debt through refactoring and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
• Follow engineering best practices around testing, CI/CD, security, observability, and documentation.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and engineering quality.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 5+ experience.
• Expert-level experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
• Strong React experience, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Working knowledge of Java or Kotlin/JVM fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly:
  • Azure Container Apps (ACA)
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Managed PostgreSQL
  • Key Vault
  • Application Gateway
  • VNet/Subnets
  • Private Endpoints and Private DNS
• Strong experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on Docker/containerization experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, preferably Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Confident, proactive, and highly trainable.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps.
