Location: Cincinnati, OH Salary: $75.00 USD Hourly - $85.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Infrastructure PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale retail hardware implementation focused on PIN pad deployment across retail store locations. To date, approximately 1,000 stores have been completed, with an additional 1,500 stores remaining. This multi-year initiative is expected to continue through 2027 and into 2028.

This individual will be fully dedicated to the program and will work closely with installation vendors, internal technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of deployments. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and experienced in managing complex, multi-site technology rollouts while proactively driving schedules, mitigating risks, and resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the ongoing PIN pad deployment program across retail store locations.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate activities across installation vendors, internal technology teams, business divisions, and other project stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor performance, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring accountability and adherence to project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify, track, and escalate risks, issues, and critical decisions.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure action items, dependencies, and follow-up activities are documented and completed.
  • Maintain project documentation, forecasts, implementation plans, and reporting artifacts.
  • Provide timely and accurate project updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support a seamless transition of project ownership and quickly establish day-to-day leadership of the initiative.
  • Drive project execution to ensure milestones and deployment objectives are delivered on time.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of project management experience leading technology implementations, infrastructure projects, or large-scale rollouts.
  • Proven experience managing hardware or technology deployments across multiple physical locations.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including coordination of installation partners, schedules, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking concepts, including network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and hardware integration.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams and participate in discussions related to infrastructure and deployment activities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, risks, dependencies, issues, change requests, and escalations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering project objectives while coordinating efforts across multiple teams and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading retail store technology implementations.
  • Retail hardware deployment experience.
  • Point of Sale (POS) and/or PIN pad deployment experience.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-site implementations in environments such as distribution centers, warehouses, healthcare facilities, universities, or similar operational settings.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
