Role Summary

The ITBA supports the Production Operations transformation team by designing, integrating, and supporting end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and execution processes in SAP S/4HANA. This role focuses on Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Shop Floor Integration (SFI/MES ), and Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) to ensure accurate planning data, optimized schedules, and seamless shop-floor operations in an A&D manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Solution Design: Analyze planning, scheduling, and shop-floor execution processes. Map AS-IS and TO-BE processes for demand planning, capacity planning, order scheduling, and shop-floor reporting within SAP S/4HANA.

Configuration & Integration Support: Support configuration in MRP (planning parameters, lot-sizing), PPDS (planning procedures, resources, heuristics), and SFI/MES (order download/upload, confirmations). Design and validate integration points between MRP, PPDS, and SFI/MES (e.g., Apriso) so execution feedback flows reliably.

Planning & Scheduling Optimization: Analyze planning data, capacity utilization, and order scheduling logic to identify bottlenecks. Support the use of PPDS tools (planning board, heuristics, pegging, alerts) to improve finite scheduling.

Project Lifecycle Support: Gather and document functional requirements, author functional specifications, and participate in end-to-end implementation activities (design, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live). Develop and execute test plans for planning runs and shop-floor transactions.

Production Support & Collaboration: Provide Level-2 production support for planning/scheduling and shop-floor integration issues. Monitor MRP exceptions, PPDS planning logs, and MES integration errors. Act as the key IT liaison for production operations, planning, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering.

Required Qualifications

SAP & Functional Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA MRP, PPDS (production planning and detailed scheduling, finite capacity planning), and Shop Floor Integration/MES (SFI/Apriso or equivalent). Experience designing integrated planning and execution solutions connecting MRP, PPDS, and MES.

IT Business Analyst Skills: Proven experience as an ITBA or SAP functional analyst (system design, prototyping, requirements gathering, process modeling, and test case development). Ability to collaborate with ABAP/MES developers to translate functional requirements into technical designs.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Typically 5+ years of SAP experience in production planning/scheduling or manufacturing IT, including at least one major implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in Agile or hybrid ERP delivery environments.

Exposure to MRP Live, ePPDS, and advanced planning scenarios (multi-plant planning, constrained capacity, order pegging).

Experience with data analysis and planning performance reporting (schedule adherence, resource utilization).

Prior involvement in large-scale transformation programs (e.g., S/4HANA migrations) in a manufacturing context.
