Job Description

Applied Integration is an established UK systems integrator based in Stokesley, North Yorkshire.

We specialise in the design and delivery of complex automation and control solutions across a range of industries.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join our engineering team.

The Role

The Controls Engineer will work on a variety of technically challenging automation projects, supporting projects from initial design and development through to testing and commissioning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • PLC software design, programming and development
  • HMI and SCADA development
  • Working with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell and Siemens PLC systems
  • Integration of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA and industrial equipment
  • Industrial communications and networking
  • Control system fault finding and troubleshooting
  • FAT and SAT activities
  • Supporting installation and commissioning
  • Producing technical documentation and functional design specifications
  • Working alongside electrical, mechanical, software and project engineering teams

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a Control Engineer with:

  • Strong PLC and industrial automation experience
  • Allen-Bradley / Rockwell experience
  • Siemens PLC experience
  • HMI and/or SCADA development experience
  • Industrial control system integration experience
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • FAT, SAT and commissioning experience
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols

Experience with Mitsubishi, Schneider, Beckhoff, Omron, AVEVA/Wonderware, Ignition, SQL, OPC-UA, MQTT or EtherNet/IP would also be advantageous.

This Controls Engineer role is a permanent, office-based position in Stokesley, North Yorkshire. Candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance or willing to relocate.
