  • Be proactive in finding potential clients and opportunities for business and account growth.
  • Take accountability for the administration and commercial management of projects under NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract, including forecasting, change control and performance.

  • Ensure project controls and project management plans are developed and implemented.
  • Manage and mentor project managers and provide support to their development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of project governance and assurance processes.
  • Lead and support tender submission and framework bids.
  • Take full responsibility for planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management across workstreams.
  • Develop and maintain project management plans, dashboards and reporting systems.
  • Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Skills and experience you need to have for this role

  • At least 5-8 years' experience delivering complex infrastructure projects and programmes, with a strong focus on Water and Environmental sector (this is essential). Other infra sectors are desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to manage senior client relationships effectively.
  • Significant experience with co-ordinating contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Hold an industry-recognised qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
  • Chartered status (ChPP, MRICS, MICE or equivalent) is preferred, or demonstrable progress towards achieving chartership.
  • Have both site and office-based experience on a variety of infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge on pre and post contractual administration of the NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract, cost control and risk management.
  • A collaborative mindset with a proactive, solution orientated approach to problem solving.
  • Understand the CDM responsibilities from a client perspective.
  • Significant experience with managing project scope, programme, costs, risks and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
