AWS HealthLake – FHIR SME / Architect

AWS HealthLake – FHIR SME / Architect to lead healthcare interoperability and cloud architecture initiatives.

Key Requirements
 

1. 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong healthcare domain expertise.
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR (R4 preferred) and healthcare interoperability standards.
3. Proven experience implementing and architecting solutions using AWS HealthLake.
4. Strong knowledge of:
5. SMART-on-FHIR
6. HL7 v2, CDA/CCD, X12
7. US Core Profiles and FHIR Implementation Guides
8. Healthcare terminologies (SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, CPT, RxNorm)
9. Expertise in AWS services including:
10. HealthLake
11. Lambda
12. API Gateway
13. S3
14. Glue
15. Athena
16. Step Functions
17. EventBridge
18. IAM and KMS
19. Experience designing HIPAA-compliant healthcare solutions.
20. Strong background in healthcare data integration, FHIR data modeling, and API architecture.
21. Experience integrating with EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
22. Knowledge of payer-provider interoperability, population health, risk adjustment, or value-based care is a plus.
23. Responsibilities
24. Architect and implement enterprise healthcare solutions using AWS HealthLake.
25. Design and govern FHIR-based interoperability frameworks.
26. Lead healthcare data ingestion, transformation, and integration initiatives.
27. Define security, compliance, and governance standards.
28. Collaborate with business, clinical, and engineering stakeholders.
29. Provide technical leadership and mentorship on AWS healthcare services and FHIR best practices.

Preferred Certifications :

1. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
2. HL7 FHIR Certification
3. Relevant AWS Healthcare certifications
4. Strong Experience hands-on AWS HealthLake implementation experience and deep expertise in healthcare interoperability and FHIR architecture.
