Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

•            Support various activities of the NPI process for transition into manufacturing

•            Design and build fixtures for manufacturing sub-component testing

•            Develop, implement and maintain operational methods in the manufacturing of sub-assemblies

•            Participate in continuous improvement efforts and 8D problem solving as needed

•            Support the internal and external quality process and corrective actions

•            Reduce production labor and material cost while improving efficiency and utilization

•            Utilize the Engineering Change Order and Engineering Change Request system for the business unit

•            Work with outside suppliers on outsourcing activities

•            Work with manufacturing personnel to investigate and correct manufacturing, documentation and component problems as they arise

Qualifications

•            Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, other engineering disciplines will be considered

•            Minimum of 5 years of related experience

•            Ability to understand and work with schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs

•            Capable of using Inventor or other 3D modeling software (Solidworks/Creo)

•            Experience in debugging mechanical and electrical problems

•            Demonstrated hands-on experience working and supporting manufacturing

•            Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, suppliers and peers
