Job Description

Lead Data Architect
6 months
Farnborough - 2 to 3 days per week onsite
Market rates - inside IR35
Client: BMW
Role overview:

  • Migrate IBM DB2 databases to AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
  • Design and build logical and physical data models to support business and technical requirements.
  • Communicate complex data concepts clearly to business stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
  • Define and implement database history, audit, and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver data architecture solutions.
  • Provide expertise in database design, migration, and optimisation.
  • Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (AWS DMS) is highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within large-scale cloud transformation programmes.
