Data Engineer with Security Clearance

Look no further! Zachary Piper Solutions is actively seeking engineers for our McLean, VA office. Location: McLean, VA The impact you will have: * Deliver a wide range of high-value technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures, developing how-to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases. * Partner with Engagement Managers to scope professional services work based on customer needs and desired outcomes. * Guide strategic customers through transformational big data initiatives and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of advanced data and AI applications. * Provide architectural guidance and hands-on implementation support to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of Zachary Piper Solutions. * Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues during customer engagements. * Collaborate closely with Zachary Piper Solutions technical teams, Project Managers, Architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure all technical components are delivered effectively. * Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback, resolve engagement-specific issues, and improve the overall customer experience. What we look for: * Experienced in Apache Spark (Must have) * 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics * Proficiency in Python or Scala * Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep expertise in one * Strong experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and familiarity with Spark runtime internals * Understanding of CI/CD practices for production deployments * Working knowledge of MLOps concepts and workflows * Experience designing and deploying scalable, performant end-to-end data architectures * Proven ability to deliver technical projects, manage scope, and meet timelines * Strong documentation, communication, and whiteboarding skills * Experience working directly with customers and navigating conflict or ambiguity * Ability to build new technical skills that support Zachary Piper Solutions solution deployment and integration * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Compensation: * Salary Range: $120,000 - $225,000 based on experience * Comprehensive Benefits : Medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, Holiday Keywords: Apache Spark, Apache, AI/ML, AI, AWS, Azure, GCP, CI/CD, Machine Learning, Python, Scala #LI-JB1
