Job Summary

Responsible for managing MES project financial planning, APD development, and budget tracking activities. Ensures Medicaid Detailed Budget Table (MDBT) accuracy, CMS funding compliance, financial forecasting, and alignment of project costs with approved funding requirements. Collaborates with project teams, vendors, DHHS stakeholders, and finance teams to support successful Medicaid Enterprise System initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage and maintain the Medicaid Detailed Budget Table (MDBT) and APD budget documentation.

·       Prepare financial narratives, budget models, forecasts, and funding reports.

·       Track project expenditures against CMS-approved enhanced funding.

·       Analyze costs, perform budget reconciliation, and ensure fiscal compliance.

·       Coordinate budget discussions with stakeholders, vendors, and state partners.

·       Support project planning, reporting, documentation, and status tracking.

·       Create presentations, financial summaries, dashboards, and SOPs.

·       Facilitate meetings and ensure effective stakeholder communication.

·       Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and financial requirements.

 

Required Skills

·       Experience developing and managing the Medicaid Detailed Budget Table (MDBT) – 3+ years

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects effectively – 6+ years

·       Budget analysis, accounting, and financial tracking experience – 5+ years

·       Proficiency with project collaboration and tracking tools (Microsoft Project Suite, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.) – 7+ years

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills – 7+ years

·       Experience in project management, training, and facilitation – 7+ years

·       Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills – 7+ years

·       Ability to create and deliver PowerPoint presentations and develop SOPs – 6+ years
 

Preferred / Highly Desired Skills

·       State government or public sector experience, especially working with DHHS/Medicaid programs – 5+ years
