Job Description

About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfillment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

Suno’s People team is scaling to match the company, and we’re looking for a People Partner to be the trusted talent partner for an assigned client group. Reporting to the Director, People Business Partners, you’ll own end-to-end People support for your group: performance cycles, employee relations, coaching managers, and translating company-wide programs into action for your teams. This is a role for someone who wants full ownership of a client group and the trust to run it well: using data, judgment, and influence to help leaders build high-performing, inclusive teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the trusted People partner to a function or client group’s leadership, shaping org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy for your group and owning the tradeoff calls that keep people and business priorities in balance.

  • Lead complex employee relations investigations and high-stakes performance situations end to end within your function, helping leaders navigate them with care, candor, and compliance.

  • Adapt and deliver company-wide talent management and learning and development programs, such as performance management and career progression, for your function, and measure their impact on your team, not just whether they launched.

  • Coach managers and leaders in your function through team scaling, reorgs, and performance complexity, building their capability to lead the Suno way.

  • Use workforce data, sentiment, and talent reviews in Excel and Claude to identify capability gaps and succession risk in your function, and turn insight into a recommendation leadership can act on.

  • Build trust with the managers and employees in your function through consistent, sound judgment, and mentor newer People Partners on your team as they grow into the role, strengthening the People Partner team that helps every leader at Suno build one capable of delivering on our mission of daily creative fulfillment.

What You’ll Need

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of experience as a People Partner, with demonstrated depth partnering with leaders in a high-growth tech environment.

  • Track record leading complex employee relations investigations and high-stakes performance situations independently.

  • Sophistication in org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.

  • Strong grounding in US employment law, including Title VII, ADA, and FMLA, plus deep experience with California employment law given Suno's presence in Los Angeles and San Francisco; comfortable operating with independence and good judgment.

  • Proven ability to translate company-wide People frameworks into a specific function's context without losing the intent behind them.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building or significantly improving a People program, such as performance management, career progression, or compensation, with real interest in owning that kind of build as part of your remit.

  • Experience partnering with Finance on headcount budgeting and workforce modeling.

  • Hands-on with AI tools and motivated to build AI-enhanced People workflows.

  • Strong analytical fluency with People data — comfortable building and interpreting your own models (attrition forecasting, pay equity, span of control), not just reading someone else’s dashboard.

  • Track record leading complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end — multiple workstreams and competing deadlines, shipped and adopted, not just launched.

  • Experience designing or scaling learning and development or talent management programs, such as succession planning or leadership development.
