JOB SUMMARY

The Solution Analyst supports the delivery of enterprise platform capabilities by translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements. This role sits within the Platform Engineering organization, focused on building reusable infrastructure components and policy-as-code guardrails that enable secure, scalable, and self-service technology solutions.

Working closely with the Technical Product Owner (TPO), platform engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Solution Analyst ensures that incoming requests are well-defined, aligned to enterprise standards, and sequenced to maximize business value and platform adoption.

This role also leverages data analytics and observability insights to validate and prioritize requirements and ensure platform capability roadmaps are aligned to real business needs, performance signals, and operational outcomes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 0 3 years of experience in business analysis, product support, or technology delivery
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms and DevSecOps

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize complex information into clear, structured outputs
  • Foundational experience with data analysis concepts (metrics, trends, KPIs)
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
  • Basic familiarity with observability or monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana)
  • Exposure to data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., dashboards, SQL, reporting, or visualization tools)
  • Interest in security, compliance, or policy-driven technology solutions

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Requirements Analysis & Intake

  • Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders across engineering, security, and application teams
  • Translate requests into clear problem statements, use cases, and success criteria
  • Identify gaps, assumptions, and dependencies to ensure a complete understanding of needs
  • Build data insights (usage trends, adoption patterns, operational metrics) to validate and shape requirement

Backlog Refinement & Documentation

  • Decompose requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria and supporting artifacts
  • Ensure work is fully defined, feasible, and aligned to platform standards before entering development
  • Maintain backlog quality and documentation in collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
  • Work closely with the Technical Product Owner to define and track KPIs supporting the platform and overall business strategy

Data-Driven Prioritization & Observability Insights

  • Analyze platform usage, operational metrics, and performance data to inform prioritization decisions
  • Leverage observability platforms (e.g., Dynatrace dashboards, logs, metrics, traces) to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Use insights such as performance and adoption signals to refine requirements and validate business value
  • Support development of dashboards and reporting needs that improve visibility into platform health and user impact

Prioritization & Planning Support

  • Support prioritization and sequencing of work based on business value, risk, and effort
  • Partner with the Technical Product Owner to prepare backlog items for planning and sprint execution
  • Help organize demand into structured, comparable units to support roadmap decisions

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Facilitate requirement refinement sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity
  • Communicate requirement updates, decisions, and dependencies effectivel

Platform Alignment & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure requirements align to enterprise guardrails, reusable components, and standard golden paths
  • Encourage adoption of standardized solutions over custom approaches
  • Contribute to improvements in intake, refinement, and requirement management processes
  • Support continuous improvement using observability signals and feedback loops to refine platform capabilities and outcomes
