Job Description

Job Title: Java Developer – Telecom Order Orchestration

Location: New Jersey (hybrid; local strongly preferred)

Type: Potential Long-term contract, ASAP start

About the role: Our client is a fast-growing telecom technology company building a new order orchestration platform on a low-code engine (Kloudville). The platform takes orders from carrier BSS systems, like a new customer opening an account, and breaks each one into calls to the downstream systems: network, voicemail, billing and other telecom platforms. It's still in development and heading to production soon. After launch, the team will keep adding features and onboarding new carrier clients, including a major global operator, so this is long-running work.

You'll build new functionality on the platform. That means new APIs, integrations and Boltons as it grows. It isn't maintenance or cleanup.

What you'll do:

1.    Build new orchestration flows and features on the platform's low-code engine

2.    Develop and maintain integrations and APIs between the orchestration layer and downstream telecom systems (network, voicemail, billing)

3.    Work with the client's backend engineering team, whose services are mostly in Go

4.    Help take the platform from development into production, then support onboarding new carrier clients

Must have:

1.    Strong Java development experience (core skill)

2.    Experience building APIs and system-to-system integrations

3.    Comfortable working on a new build that changes as it goes

Nice to have:

1.    Hands-on experience with Kloudville or similar low-code/orchestration platforms

2.    Golang

3.    Telecom background: OSS/BSS, order management, provisioning, billing
