Job Description
Senior Category Manager Professional Services (Contract)
Location: Remote (California preferred) with occasional travel to Oakland, CA
Duration: Long-term consulting engagement (approximately 12 months).
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to support a large public-sector client on a strategic consulting engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop category strategies for Professional Services with an emphasis on Insurance, Risk Services, and Financial Services.
- Analyze spend and identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to understand business needs and align procurement strategies.
- Guide strategic sourcing initiatives and RFP processes.
- Manage supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of Strategic Sourcing or Category Management experience.
- Experience managing Professional Services categories (Insurance, Risk, Financial Services preferred).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence executive stakeholders and work independently in a complex enterprise environment.
