Systems Engineer

Description
This distribution and manufacturing organization is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a growing technology team supporting ERP platform enhancements, cybersecurity initiatives, systems integrations, and enterprise applications. This role will play a key part in an upcoming ERP release, helping drive development, testing, user enablement, and ongoing system improvements across the business.
POSITION TITLE: Systems Engineer
LOCATION: Irving, TX (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
SALARY: $130,000 - $140,000
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and enhance a proprietary ERP environment, including development, testing, troubleshooting, and user training activities related to upcoming system releases.
• Design, build, and maintain integrations between ERP, enterprise applications, security platforms, and third-party business systems.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Defender, Entra ID, Enterprise Applications, and related services.
• Develop and maintain automation, scripting, and API-based solutions utilizing REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, Python, and other programming tools.
• Partner with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to strengthen system security, identity management, endpoint protection, and network integrations.
• Participate in application lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, program flow analysis, SDLC processes, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Provide rotational on-call support approximately one weekend per month and assist with issue resolution across multiple technology domains.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, Defender, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Enterprise Applications.
• Experience developing and supporting system integrations using REST APIs, Microsoft Graph API, web services, or related technologies.
• Strong understanding of application security, identity management, endpoint security, EDR/MDR platforms, and third-party security tool integrations.
• Working knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python, SQL, RPG, C, Java, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, testing processes, application troubleshooting, and program flow analysis.
• Experience supporting ERP-related security, workflows, and business processes.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work across infrastructure, development, ERP, and security functions as business needs evolve.
