Senior AI Engineer - Financial Crime & Protection (Hybrid)

Westpac Group is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to own complex AI-driven protection workstreams within AI Services. You will deliver production-ready products across governed data, backend services, APIs, AI workflows and human review experiences.

The role supports financial crime prevention, fraud and AML, while preserving human decision authority. You will combine senior delivery ownership with specialist intelligence and protection engineering, ensuring evidence, provenance and safe fallbacks.
