The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions utilizing Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto technologies. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop, enforce, and audit network security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. • Lead and mentor a team of firewall professionals, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and project goals. • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all firewall operations, projects, and assessments. • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent military/work experience. • Minimum of 3 years of firewall experience within a DoD environment. • Demonstrated advanced experience managing baseline configurations and evaluating firewall rules for optimal security. • Experience researching and implementing new firewall technologies. • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a relevant Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification.
