About the role
As a Pricing Manager, you will help shape competitive and profitable prices for one of Europe’s leading e-commerce businesses. Your work will directly contribute to the development of revenue and contribution margin while helping us offer attractive prices to our customers.
You will take responsibility for day-to-day pricing activities within an assigned market or business area. Using product, customer, competitor and performance data, you will identify pricing opportunities, prepare concrete recommendations, implement agreed measures and evaluate their commercial impact.
Working closely with experienced pricing colleagues, Country Management, Category Management and Data teams, you will deepen your pricing expertise and gradually take on broader responsibility. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our pricing processes, analytical tools and AI-supported solutions.
About your tasks
- Manage day-to-day pricing activities for your assigned market or business area, monitoring product prices, competitor movements, customer demand, revenue and contribution margin to identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.
- Analyze product- and category-level data and translate your findings into concrete pricing recommendations, working closely with experienced pricing colleagues, Country Management and Category Management to agree on suitable actions.
- Implement approved price changes and evaluate their commercial impact, assessing how individual measures affect competitiveness, customer behavior, revenue and margin and using the results to improve future decisions.
- Work with large datasets in Excel and gradually expand your use of R and other analytical tools, collaborating with Data and Data Science teams to improve reporting, analytical models and AI-supported pricing solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous development of our pricing capabilities, improving processes, data quality and decision-making tools while progressively taking ownership of more complex pricing topics.
About you
- You have gained initial professional experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, category management or another data-driven commercial role and understand how price decisions influence demand, revenue, margin and competitive positioning.
- You are interested in consumer and product-level pricing and ideally have experience in retail, e-commerce, FMCG or another B2C environment, where you have worked with prices, promotions, assortments or commercial performance at SKU, product or category level.
- You are confident using Excel, including pivot tables, data preparation and lookup functions, while experience with R, RStudio, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau or comparable analytical tools is an advantage; previous R experience is not required if you are motivated to learn it.
- You enjoy working with large datasets and can turn analytical findings into practical commercial recommendations, communicating your reasoning clearly and collaborating effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
- You are fluent in English, approach your work with curiosity and accuracy and are comfortable taking responsibility for your own topics, while working in a hybrid setup and joining your team for an onsite meeting in Cologne approximately once a month.
