Role: C++ / Data Structures Software Engineer

Key responsibilities

We are looking for a hands-on C++ engineer with Data Structure experience to handle the migration of the flat-file/legacy data structures to a modern, scalable data architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong command of C++ (C++11 or later).
• Deep, practical knowledge of data structures and algorithms arrays, trees, hash maps, graphs and their performance trade-offs at scale.
• Proven experience migrating data from flat files (fixed-width, delimited, binary, or proprietary formats) to structured/modern data stores.
• Solid understanding of file I/O, memory management, and performance profiling/optimization in C++.
• Working knowledge of at least one modern database technology (SQL or NoSQL) and how to model migrated data effectively.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), Linux environments, and build tools.
• Strong debugging skills across legacy and modern codebases; comfortable reverse-engineering undocumented legacy formats.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid, client-facing delivery environment with tight sprint timelines.

Good to Have

• Exposure to retail/store technology environments or industrial/embedded systems.
• Experience with pipelines, data reconciliation tooling, or large-scale batch migration projects.
