Quick Overview
Job Description
About Cara
Cara is a domain-specific AI platform purpose-built for insurance - a modular system that enables agencies, brokerages, and wholesalers to automate servicing, accelerate sales, and scale operations with a 24/7 digital workforce.
We’re one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the insurance industry, attracting agencies and brokerages of all sizes with an expanding customer base. We’re a team of experts in engineering and insurance from Stripe, Blend, Strategy&, and Travelers, backed by top-tier VCs, and are scaling our product and team quickly to meet market demand.
About the Role
As a Talent Partner, you’ll help build the team and people infrastructure behind Cara’s next stage of growth. You’ll own recruiting across technical and business roles, partner with leadership on talent strategy, and support employee topics including onboarding, performance, and development.
This is a highly hands-on role for someone excited to build both talent acquisition and people operations at a fast-growing startup.
What You’ll Do
Own end-to-end recruiting across engineering, product, GTM, and business roles, from sourcing through offer and close.
Partner with founders and hiring managers to define talent profiles and recruiting strategies.
Proactively identify and build relationships with exceptional talent across the AI and insurance communities.
Support employee topics including onboarding, performance management, and development.
Build scalable recruiting and people processes and programs as Cara grows.
What You Have
3+ years of experience across recruiting, talent, or people roles, ideally in high-growth technology companies.
A track record of independently managing searches from talent mapping and sourcing through closing.
Experience partnering closely with founders, executives, and hiring managers on talent and people decisions.
Strong judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills, including comfort handling sensitive employee topics.
A highly proactive and organized approach with comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
