We're hiring on behalf of a well-established defense technology company with a legacy of supporting national security through advanced solutions. This employer is a trusted partner to the Department of Defense, renowned for its innovative work in areas like Cybersecurity, IT, and Data Analytics. The Role

  • Apply expertise in naval architecture and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to design, analyze, and optimize hovercraft, ships, and other maritime systems.
  • Conduct CFD and finite element analyses (FEA) to assess performance, validate adequacy, and optimize system design.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and program managers, to refine system performance and develop deliverables.
  • Manage task requirements and work execution timelines, developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
  • Document technical findings in comprehensive reports and present results to diverse stakeholders.
  • Perform a variety of naval architecture design and analysis activities for military and commercial customers.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in naval architecture with a focus on CFD applications.
  • Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent) and FEA software (e.g., Femap, NASTRAN).
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics, and maritime systems.
  • Experience with CAD and 3D modeling tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
  • Ability to utilize spreadsheets for design equations and interpret experimental data.
  • Must hold an Active Secret Clearance.
