Head Veterinary Receptionist

You will play a key role in supporting and coordinating our team of 8 receptionists, while ensuring that every client and their pet receives a warm and professional  welcome. We are looking for an experienced, organised and people-focused Head Receptionist to join the team at Rowe Yate Surgery on a part time basis, supporting and leading our team of six receptionists.

Rowe Vet Group have a 24-hour hospital in Bradley Stoke and branches in Thornbury, Yate, Winterbourne, Brimsham and Wotton-under-Edge. As a valued member of the reception team, you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the variety of veterinary reception work but is also ready to take the next step into a leadership and coordination role.

As Head Receptionist, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of our busy reception and support the wider reception team to deliver an excellent client experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

*Supporting, guiding and coordinating our team of 8 receptionists.

*Greeting clients and their pets in a friendly, professional  manner.

*Booking, cancelling and changing appointments.

*Dealing with client queries by telephone, email and face-to-face promptly and professionally.

*Advising clients on our preventative healthcare products.

*Promoting our Pet Healthcare Plans

*Dispensing medications and prescriptions in accordance with practice procedures.

*Taking payments and completing daily cashing-up procedures.

*Carrying out general administration and reception duties.

*Helping to maintain a smooth, efficient and welcoming reception environment.

*Supporting the team to provide consistently high standards of customer service.

Working Pattern

Monday 8-5pm, Wednesday 1-7.30pm, Thursday 8-2pm, Friday 8-1.30pm

Salary £13.76 per/hr

We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding client care. You will ideally have previous experience within a veterinary reception environment, with an understanding of the demands and pace of a busy veterinary practice. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be an advantage.
