Precise Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer on behalf of our client, covering Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands.

We are looking for a capable engineer who can work independently, diagnose faults confidently and deliver a professional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and test conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.

• Diagnose faults and complete repairs and remedial works.

• Carry out installations, system upgrades and commissioning within your competence.

• Ensure work meets applicable BS 5839 requirements and company procedures.

• Complete accurate service reports, maintenance records and relevant certification.

• Advise customers on system condition and recommended improvements.

• Maintain safe working practices and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working independently as a Fire Alarm Engineer.

• Strong knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.

• Confident fault-finding, servicing and maintenance skills.

• Installation and commissioning experience.

• Understanding of relevant British Standards and health and safety requirements.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Good organisational skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

• FIA training or relevant electrical qualifications would be advantageous.

• Emergency lighting experience would be beneficial.
