Position: Software Engineer (Privacy Platform Prototype)

Work Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term Contract (W2)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build the MVP, including backend services, APIs, integrations, and a working prototype.
  • Lead development of an MVP/Proof of Concept to validate technical feasibility, user experience, and compliance objectives.
  • Implement privacy-related services such as consent management, data controls, and privacy-rights request workflows.
  • Translate requirements from privacy, business, research, and quality stakeholders into technical designs and prioritized development work.
  • Define architecture that can evolve across mobile applications, customer portals, connected-vehicle services, and regional deployments.
  • Apply secure development practices and document key design decisions, assumptions, and technical risks.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, with extensive backend or full-stack development work.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs, services, and cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to write and review code, make architecture decisions, and deliver an MVP or proof of concept.
  • Ability to work with privacy specialists to translate requirements into software behavior.
  • Strong communication skills across engineering and non-engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Practical exposure to at least one privacy-related products or services.
  • Familiarity with privacy-by-design principles or regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or APPI.
  • Experience with connected products, IoT, mobile applications, or customer-data platforms.
  • Experience assessing third-party platforms or planning the transition from prototype to production.
  • Relevant privacy, cloud, or security certifications.

Expected deliverables:

  • A documented technical design and working MVP/prototype.
  • Target-state architecture and technical design of privacy platform.
  • Recommendation for product roadmap and enterprise-scale deployment.
