Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python & Trading GUIs) - Selby Jennings

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance complex GUI applications used in real-time environments
• Develop trading, operational and workflow management tools
• Design and build Python services, APIs and backend components
• Work on event-driven and distributed systems handling large volumes of data
• Create intuitive dashboards and visualisation tools for business-critical workflows
• Collaborate directly with users to gather requirements and deliver impactful solutions
• Contribute to architecture, platform design and engineering best practices

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer within a trading environment
• Excellent front-end development skills and experience building sophisticated GUI applications
• Strong Python development experience in production environments
• Experience building scalable APIs and distributed systems
• Exposure to real-time or data-intensive applications
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving ability
• Financial services, fintech or trading technology experience is advantageous
