Job Description

As a Lead Host Person at Delilah, you will serve as the leader of the host team and the primary ambassador of the guest arrival experience. This role is responsible for orchestrating the flow of the dining room, maximizing table inventory, and ensuring seamless communication between the Host Team, Management, Culinary Team, and Front-of-House Service Team. The Lead Host Person plays a critical role in creating a sophisticated, personalized, and memorable first impression while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality and Forbes Five-Star service.

This position requires exceptional leadership, guest engagement, reservation management, and operational awareness to create an energetic and vibrant dining atmosphere while delivering an unparalleled dining experience for every guest.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Host Team in delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining Delilah and Wynn service standards.
  • Develop and execute strategic seating plans that maximize covers while preserving the flow, pacing, atmosphere, and guest experience of the restaurant.
  • Coordinate guest seating, reservation management, and table inventory to optimize operational efficiency and revenue opportunities.
  • Recognize and anticipate the needs of VIPs, celebrities, returning guests, and special occasion parties to deliver personalized service experiences.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guest arrivals and departures, ensuring professional, warm, and engaging interactions.
  • Communicate guest preferences, allergies, dietary restrictions, celebrations, and special requests to restaurant leadership and service teams.
  • Monitor waitlists and reservation demand while accurately managing guest expectations regarding wait times and seating availability.
  • Resolve guest concerns and service recovery situations with professionalism, urgency, and discretion.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, floor plans, table configurations, service standards, venue policies, pricing, dress code requirements, and daily business levels.
  • Partner with Restaurant Reservations and management regarding VIP reservations, special requests, large party arrangements, and event bookings.
  • Ensure all reservation notes, guest profiles, and communications are accurately documented within reservation systems.
  • Lead daily pre-shift discussions with Host Team Members regarding VIP arrivals, special events, seating strategies, and operational updates.
  • Train, coach, and mentor Host Team Members on service standards, reservation platform utilization, guest engagement techniques, and conflict resolution.
  • Monitor host performance and provide ongoing feedback to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
  • Maintain an internal guest recognition program to identify and welcome returning guests and cultivate long-term guest relationships.
  • Ensure all menus, podium areas, guest-facing materials, and workstations remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
  • Collaborate with management to continuously improve guest satisfaction scores and operational effectiveness.
  • Uphold all Wynn Las Vegas, Delilah, and departmental policies, procedures, and appearance standards.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Host Person, Lead Host, Maître d', or similar guest-facing leadership role within a luxury fine dining, upscale hospitality, or Forbes-rated environment.
  • Previous leadership, training, coaching, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of luxury dining service standards, reservation management, and guest relations.
  • Strong understanding of dining room operations, table management strategies, and service sequencing.
  • Experience utilizing reservation management systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, Resy, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with guests, leadership, and team members.
  • Proven ability to remain poised, professional, and solution-oriented in fast-paced and high-profile environments.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to recognize and personalize service for returning guests, VIPs, celebrities, and high-profile clientele.
  • Confidence and professionalism when managing guest flow, reservation conflicts, and challenging situations.
  • Ability to lead by example while inspiring and motivating teammates to exceed service expectations.
  • Must possess a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card and any additional licenses or work cards required by local, state, or company regulations.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
