Cloud Platform Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES

A client with Kforce is seeking a Cloud Platform Architect to join their team. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days onsite in Altamonte Springs, FL.

Summary

This role supports a major digital and AI transformation initiative, focused on creating future-state data solutions, modernizing the data environment, and enabling AI-driven capabilities across the organization. The individual will help define architecture, design scalable solutions, and support the organization's data and AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Platform Architect will design and architect solutions end-to-end, from concept through implementation
• Build and implement frameworks, standards, and reusable patterns
• Serve as a hands-on architect who can both perform technical work and guide/develop other team members
• Create future-state data architecture and tools that support AI transformation, coding factory initiatives, and innovation labs
• As a Cloud Platform Architect, you will help future-proof the organization's data platform and technology landscape
• Lead solution architecture efforts while collaborating with engineering and development teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree is required
• At least one certification is required; Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (Azure Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals, Data Fundamentals, Security Fundamentals)
• Comparable AWS certifications may also be acceptable
• Required technical skills: Snowflake or similar; Python; Azure Data Factor or AWS Glue; Blob, Keyvault; SQL
• Hands-on technical experience, not just strategic architecture
• Strong architecture experience with demonstrated ownership of designing and implementing solutions from start to finish
• Experience with data platforms, big data, and modern data solutions
• AI-related experience is highly desirable, particularly implementing AI-enabled solutions end-to-end
• Candidates do not necessarily need extensive enterprise-scale architecture experience if they have strong solution design and implementation experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
