Job description

Technical Writer | Arlington, VA, United States | Hybrid

We're hiring on behalf of a reputable organization supporting a significant government contract in the aviation sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to critical documentation and information management efforts within a well-established agency.

The Role

  • Review, revise, and edit regulatory documents, manuals, instructions, and technical orders to ensure clarity, adherence to style guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to produce original written drafts, refining content through expert feedback.
  • Prepare, edit, and revise a variety of documentation, including reports, correspondence, and briefing materials.
  • Maintain an organized listing of technical documents, including key data and revision schedules.
  • Write original content in various formats, adapting style and voice to suit diverse communication needs.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • 10 years of relevant technical writing experience.
  • Ability to pass a Public Trust Security Investigation (US Citizenship required).
  • Familiarity with records management processes and procedures.
  • Experience developing filing systems, categorizing, indexing, and labeling official records.
