With an almost unrivalled heritage of engineering and racing F1 cars and unforgettable eras that demonstrate it is a force to be reckoned with, the British squad boasts 16 F1 World Championship titles to its name.

Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. Its roll call of drivers is legendary, with its seven Drivers’ Championship trophies being lifted by true icons of the sport: Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. The team has made history before and is out to make it again with a long-term mission to evolve and return to the front of the grid.

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner to provide commercial and category expertise to the business, facilitating best value procurement to time, cost and quality imperatives. Effectively consult and influence both internal and external stakeholders, supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies, and managing supplier relationships to optimise performance.  Working as part of the Indirect Procurement team, you will promote and implement high professional standards in line with the standing of the business. The categories and commodities you manage will be reviewed periodically and may change over time in line with the evolving needs of the department.

You will foster positive working relationships both within the team and across functional boundaries, using strong EQ to navigate multiple tasks, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance within a matrixed environment.

 

Main Duties:

  • Category Management: Own and manage the procurement process for an assigned portfolio of categories within Indirect Procurement, currently including areas such as Facilities, Capex, Support & Maintenance agreements, Consumables, Tools & Tooling, as well as ad-hoc requirements. Category allocation is not fixed and may be adjusted from time to time to reflect changing business priorities.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, mitigate risk and improve supplier performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality and performance standards.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favourable terms and ongoing value for the organisation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business goals. Promote the value of the Procurement function to the wider business to drive realisation of commercial opportunities via greater engagement
  • Continuous Improvement Liaison: Act as the main point of contact with the Continuous Improvement (CI) Team, supporting the embedding of process and efficiency initiatives within category plans.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve procurement processes and workflows to enhance transparency, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to identify trends, quantify savings, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform decision making.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Ensure understanding of cost cap requirements and identify opportunities to improve optimisation.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MCIPS desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Indirect Procurement required, ideally spanning a range of categories such Facilities, Capex, Maintenance & Support, Consumables or similar operational categories.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, written and verbal communication skills essential. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Indirect procurement, including market trends, cost drivers, and best practices.
