Join a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the efficiency of freight movement. ## The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard. • Drive hostlers to strategically position containers and chassis. • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily moves and tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. ## What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts (Day or 2nd shift), weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • Ability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars. • Must pass a background check, physical, and drug screening. ## What's On Offer • Paid training and long-term advancement opportunities. • Competitive hourly pay (Apprentice: $18.82/hour, Journeyman: $20.93/hour). • Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vision. • 401(k) plan.
