Child Life Specialist

• Facility: St Alexius Medical Center
• Department: Med Surg Unit
• Schedule: Rotating shift l Full-time

• Maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors and property through proactive monitoring and prompt incident response.
• Investigate incidents, document safety hazards and assist with emergency preparedness drills.
• Educate and guide staff on emergency management procedures to improve campus safety readiness.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, enforce traffic guidelines and report equipment concerns.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Child Life Professional credentialed from the Association of Child Life Professionals obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
