Vice President, POM Technical Product Management - Developer Marketplace

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of  Vice President, POM Technical Product Management- Developer Market, to join our growing BNY Digital Channels product team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Product Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for Developer Marketplace, creating a clear “North Star” that reflects developer and client needs, business priorities, the competitive landscape, and the broader Digital Channels strategy. Partner closely with engineering, design, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.

Product Development & Prioritization: Lead product development across multiple pods and capabilities, partnering with Product Owners to prioritize roadmaps, backlogs, and stakeholder demand. Define clear product requirements, outcomes, milestones, and acceptance criteria while actively managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to drive delivery against agreed objectives.

Developer Experience & Platform Capabilities: Drive a consistent, intuitive end-to-end developer experience across capability discovery, access, onboarding, integration, testing, and consumption. Shape Marketplace capabilities supporting APIs and emerging integration patterns, including data connectivity, agentic experiences, and modern developer tooling.

Product Adoption & Outcomes: Drive adoption of Developer Marketplace capabilities by partnering with product teams, business lines, and platform stakeholders. Establish and monitor product OKRs and relevant adoption measures, using client, developer, and stakeholder feedback to continually improve the product.

Stakeholder & Cross-Platform Leadership: Work across business, product, engineering, architecture, risk, and control partners to align priorities, resolve dependencies, and establish scalable patterns for capabilities exposed through Developer Marketplace.

Product Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to Product Owners and cross-functional teams, reinforcing strong product-management practices, customer-centric decision making, accountability, and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is desirable.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, digital platforms, developer platforms, or related technology products, preferably within financial services, fintech, or a highly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of modern digital and developer technologies, including APIs, API management, developer portals, software integration patterns, cloud technologies, and developer tooling.
• Experience defining and managing end-to-end developer or client journeys and the underlying workflows, services, APIs, and platform dependencies required to deliver them.
• Experience translating complex business and technical requirements into product strategy, roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple cross-functional teams and influence engineering, architecture, design, business, risk, and other stakeholders without relying solely on direct authority.
• Strong understanding of user and developer needs, with a commitment to delivering intuitive, scalable experiences and measurable business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, analytical, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.
